The unexpected surprises are always the best. A few weeks ago it was a box of fabric that arrived on our doorstep, and the other day it was a monetary gift to help us reach our goal to make the next donation. When Cierra Baumgartner heard that we were so close to meeting our goal, she decided that now would be a good time to help EBP with a donation. Cierra had planned on purchasing a quilt for her family’s dog, Gunner, but he passed away before that could happen. In memory of Gunner, we are pleased to announce that we will be mailing off a $300 check to Cocker Spaniel Resources, this week. As some of you may remember, Jaci Kimmes Crisp won our last contest, and got to pick which rescue would receive the next donation. Jaci’s choice was CSR. A huge thank you to everyone who purchased quilts and collars, or donated to help us meet this goal!
The package in this photo was delivered to our doorstep, yesterday. What a wonderful surprise to find upon opening it, a very generous fabric donation for EllieBellie Project. I can’t begin to tell you what I was feeling when I saw this. That someone was thinking of EBP and took the time to send us this gift of fabric, warms my heart. I try really hard to be a positive person and see good in the world, but as we all know, some days are harder than others. It’s funny how those are the days, that end like yesterday did, with an unexpected package to remind me of all the people in this world that care, and do what they can to help others. To the person who sent this…thank you – your kindness is appreciated for so many reasons.
