So, I guess we’ll find out who reads the EllieBellie Project posts, because anyone who knows me will be a bit surprised by this. Today I had this tattooed just above my left wrist. There was a time that I wouldn’t have even considered this, and didn’t really understand why anyone would get a tattoo. I would like to believe that I’ve grown as a person, and I’m able to accept and even consider new ways of thinking. EllieBellie Project has made me step way outside my comfort zone, and it has become a part of me. Once I drew out this image, I didn’t hesitate. I knew this was what I wanted. I’m sure all of you have figured out what the ‘ebp’ is for, but the ‘916’ may have you stumped…that is the number the puppy mill tattooed in Lena’s ear. She may have been just a number to them, but to me she’s so much more. This brave little girl has stolen my heart.A special thank you to Jeremy at Stay Tru Tattoo in Burnsville, for the great job you did, and for making this 50 year old mom feel perfectly comfortable getting her first tattoo.
