Late last year I entered a contest on the Sidewalk Dog facebook page. The winner would receive a hand-drawn pet portrait. I was so excited when they let me know that my entry for a portrait of Ellie had been selected. I think the artist, Riley Haberland, did an amazing job, and I will always treasure this very special remembrance of a very special friend.
Thank you Mari-Lynn O’Brien for your recent purchase from EllieBellie Project. Bently looks like he’s enjoying his new blanket. He sure is a handsome fella!
Lena and I will be walking in our 2nd American Cancer Society Bark For Life event on Saturday, May 13th. Hopefully, the weather will be warmer, and Lena won’t need to wear her hoodie, again! We’ll also be having our very first EllieBellie Project booth at the event, this year.
Nearly everyone has been touched by cancer, either through their own personal battle or through the battle of someone they love, and this disease has taken too much from too many. I’m participating in the Bark For Life event because I know It makes a difference in the fight to end cancer by raising funds and cancer awareness. The funds I raise help fund important cancer research, supports cancer patient programs and services, and goes toward other important activities that help save lives from cancer.
By walking in a Bark For Life event I join more than four million global volunteers who are dedicated to finishing the fight against cancer. This is my opportunity to honor the cancer survivors in my life, remember friends and family I have lost, and to raise funds to support the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving mission. If you are able, please make a donation in support of our efforts.
