Calendar Girl

Yep, that’s our Lena in the upper right corner. It was so fun to see our little pin-up girl featured with the other rescue pups for the month of May in the 2018 For the Love of Rescues calendar. This is such a great way to raise money for rescue organizations. You can order your calendars for $15 each, with 100% of the proceeds going to the participating rescue group of your choice. Just click on this link to order yours –

Also, if you should run into Lena anytime soon, she likes to be called Miss May, now. 😉Untitled design (1)

Donation Time

I’ve never been comfortable in social situations. It’s not easy for me to talk to people I don’t know well, and I have a really hard time asking for and receiving help. I’ve been thinking a lot about this the last couple of weeks, because of two different situations I’ve recently been in. While waiting in line at the Washington County Fair, I noticed that the gal in front of us had on a shirt that said something like, “we see the possibilities, not the disabilities” – and from the logo it looked like it involved animals. I so wanted to ask about it, but couldn’t figure out what to say or how to say it. After she walked away, I wished I had said something. I wished I had said anything. I wished I had been brave like the gal who stopped by our booth at Woof-a-Pawlooza. The gal who wasn’t afraid to tell me about the rescue organization that she volunteers at, and ask that EBP consider them for a donation in the future. The gal who took a chance, and by doing so helped me decide on the next rescue to receive a $300 check from EllieBellie Project. I am excited to announce EBP has chosen No Dog Left Behind Canine Rescue for the next donation. Thank you NDLB Rescue for all that you do!

Woof-a-Pawlooza

We had such a great time at Woof-a-Pawlooza, yesterday! We got to meet so many dogs, and their people, too. We heard wonderful stories of pet rescues, and even how one dog saved his human’s life. A special thank you to Good Karma Animal Rescue of MN – you put on an absolutely amazing event! To my husband, Pat and our good friend, Kari Brasel – I could have never done this without the two of you there, working as hard as you did. Also, congratulations to Amanda Pals, the winner of the PetSmart gift card drawing.IMG_2188
